What Really Matters ...

Dear Friends,

People often ask me why does Wisdom 2.0 exist? What is at the heart of our efforts?

In some ways, we are only here to be of service to you, and the growing number of people looking to better understand themselves and their karmic path in life.

But there is another answer. Eckhart Tolle came to Wisdom 2.0 some time back, and toward the end of his talk, he said what truly matters is:

“The awakening within you, the awakening of consciousness, knowing what we could call the transcendent dimension to who you are.”

Of course, our name, our titles, our bank account, our successes and failures … all are a part of life, but do we know who we are at a much deeper level, independent of all these?

I often see this as a form of remembering. We get to so busy, so consumed, so immersed, and then at times, we remember, “Oh right, all I have is this moment, right now. This is really the only moment I need to attend to.” Our sense of control lessens and there is a sense of spaciousness, a feeling of OKness.

Jack Kornfield in a talk recently quoted Guilaume Apollinaire who said:

“Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy."

In this spirit, we offer events and gatherings, some for free or by donation, others for a charge — some online, some in person — but all I hope with this focus, be it in business, or politics, or AI, the same thread weaves through them all.
