Wisdom 2.0 started with a simple vision:
There was no doubt the external technologies of our age were going to advance; the real question was, “Will the internal technologies of our age advance as well?
THE GLUE
If qualities such as AWARENESS and COMPASSION are the glue that keeps a society together, how do we make sure these are nurtured, while technology advances at LIGHTNING speed?
Our belief was that these topics need to be discussed, and technology leaders need to be included in the conversation … and together, potentially we can create a livable world.
THE IMPACT
Has it worked?
In some ways, the culture has changed enormously and practices like mindfulness are more popular than ever …
And in other ways, at least in the US, we have failed miserably as teen depression and suicide increase every year.
REMEMBERING
In all our “advancement,” can we remember What Really Matters, What is Essential to Humanity?
While we will continue to offer our virtual offerings, our annual In Person Gathering, Wisdom 2.0 in San Francisco will focus on The Essential — what really matters for humanity to thrive.
