To know your mind is to reclaim your freedom—otherwise, you are merely living the stories you’ve inherited.
Dear Friends,
There are certain pillars that are fundamental to any meaningful life. Two are Inner Knowing and Community.
Learn below about a NEW SERIES and a NEW VIDEO we just made public.
NEW SERIES: Know Your Mind
Every act of kindness and every act of cruelty in the world have one thing in common:
They originate in the mind.
Drawing on nearly two decades of practices shared at Wisdom 2.0—from Ram Dass to Eckhart Tolle to Sharon Salzberg and others—we’ve brought highlights together into a single, cohesive course.
We are calling it Know Your Mind (but it could just easily be named “Know Your Heart.”)
What happens when we do not know our mind? Well, just watch the news!
When we know our mind, however, we have choice in how we engage with life, consciously instead of unconsciously.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
— Carl Jung
In all the activities we could undertake, arguably there is nothing more important than knowing how our mind works.

Why Are We So Lonely? Supporting a Quality Life
I took a cross-country flight recently, and something strange happened.
Nothing unusual about the flight itself—but something was odd about my attention.
When we landed and I reached for my bag, I realized something:
I couldn’t tell you who had been sitting next to me for the past five hours.
I was in my own world—watching movies, catching up on emails—and they were too. And that realization brought a quiet sadness.
I still remember when people used to talk to each other on flights. There was at least a moment of connection, a simple acknowledgment: “I’m human, you’re human—cool. Nice to connect.”
Former US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and Jack Kornfield discussed this at the last Wisdom 2.0. Vivek shared his three pillars for a a quality life:
MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS WITH EACH OTHER
A FEELING OF PURPOSE
A SENSE OF SERVICE
This is a profound conversation on what it means to be a connected human in modern life. I hope you enjoy it!
Blessings,
