“What you do may seem insignificant, but it is very important you do it.”
— Neem Karoli Baba
Dear Friends,
There is always something …
There is always something to worry about, something to figure out, something to buy, something that calls our attention.
Something easily runs our life.
In this holiday of activity and shopping, may we also have moments of nothing — where there is (at least for a moment) nothing wrong, nothing to do, and no problem to solve.
Instead there is simply awareness of the moment as it is. Just that.
The kids might be screaming, the dinner might be over cooking, family might be fighting, presents might have been forgotten … and yet here we are, life unfolding as it is, with nothing that we need to add to the situation.
Fortunately, for this we do not need to buy anything, plan for anything, solve anything … Only we see that in the crazy hustle and bustle of life, there are also moments of stillness, of nothing.
No matter what your day looks like this holiday, whether you are home alone or have 30 family members coming over for dinner, there is life to be met and discovered.
It is a pleasure to be a part of this global community with you … and continue “the great work” of awakening, as humbling and challenging as it can be, knowing that we do may seem insignificant, it is very important we do it.
Each moment of awareness changes the world.
Blessings,
SOREN
