“People of this world are deluded. They’re always longing for something — always, in a word, seeking. But the wise wake up.”
— Bodhidharma
Dear Friends,
There are some activities I almost never regret in a day — quality time with friends, exercise, time in nature … and meditation. I cannot remember a day when I thought, “My day would have been so much better had I NOT meditated today.”
The challenge is that while the science is unequivocal about the benefits of meditation our lives are often overwhelmed by external stimuli—stimuli so compelling that our days pass in a blur of digital activity, and we can lose sight of what truly matters.
For December, we will host a donation-based series every Monday and Friday called Stillness Within: Cultivating Presence in Uncertain Times.
Guests include Jon Kabat-Zinn, Trudy Goodman, Roshi Joan Halifax, Sharon Salzberg, Rhonda Magee … all live on zoom, to support our practice.
“You should meditate for 20 minutes a day, unless you're too busy, of course, then you should sit for an hour.” — Anonymous
THE CHALLENGE
For many of us, we can find hours a day to listen to podcasts, watch the news, go on social media, yet so many friends will tell me, “I just do not have time to meditate.”
Hosted by myself and Cecily Mak, we thought,
“Let’s make it as easy as possible to cultivate a meditation practice, and LETS DO IT TOGETHER!”
We hope you can join us!

TWO WEEKS AWAY!
Also we are two weeks away from two events. You can join in person or online.
Friendly suggestions: eliminate the words "always" (not true) and "should", to make this piece more mindful.
