It’s Not a Wave, it's a Tsunami
The Coming AI
Dear Friends,
AI will impact the world in massive ways.
The more I learn, the more I realize the truth in the above statement. It is not a wave. It is in fact a tsunami.
Just as we have phones now, we will have our own AI machine, who knows and helps us, much like C-3PO in Star Wars, according to Open AI CEO, Sam Altman in our interview at Wisdom 2.0.
AI has been around for some time, but if you have had a chance to play with ChatGPT, it is clear that we are at a whole new level.
AI can now:
Create images (including ones that promote inaccurate news)
Write code
Develop essays
Summarize long documents
Give legal advice
And much more.
AI LEARNING FROM AI
AI is now teaching itself every day!
It no longer just relies on humans for direction. It is becoming its own teacher. As Sam has suggested, “Future AI might be created by AI.”
But what does this mean for humanity?
What do we do when masses of jobs are lost due to a new super-intelligence that can perform tasks faster and more efficiently than we can?
The large tech companies are in a full-on battle to win this race, but it is time we stop and ask, “WHERE ARE WE GOING?”
We need to explore the impact this will have, and the role of wisdom and compassion.
WISDOM AND AI EVENT
To do this, we are hosting the Wisdom and AI Summit October 29th - 30th in San Francisco, where we will bring together leaders in AI and in wisdom, to explore, “What does it mean to embark wisely with AI?”
