An Invitation ...

Dear Friends,

The Israel / Palestine conflict is on many people’s minds and hearts.

The loss of life is devastating, and it appears to be just the beginning.

No doubt people in our community have strong views on this, and I know many people feel helpless.

While I also do not how to respond, it seems important that we bring our awareness to this, in whatever way we can.

To those who have lost loved ones, and those who have taken the life of loved ones …

To those who are kidnapped, and to the kidnappers who too are in pain …

To the young men and women on both sides thrown into this battle …

And to the elders who have lived with this conflict for so many years …

And countless others. Can we tune into all this as a community?

An Invitation

As such, we are hosting two Zoom sessions. The first 30 minutes will be a meditation inviting us to notice what is arising, and the second half will be community small group conversations.

These sessions will be in the spirit of Thich Nhat Hanh’s poem, Please Call Me By My True Names.

Can we see and have compassion for all parts of ourselves and all parts of this conflict?

Of course, there is a place for debate. However, if you want to debate, these sessions are probably not right for you. But if you want to feel, to listen, and to learn how this is playing out inside and outside yourself, please join us.

I know for some of you this issue may be extremely tender right now and you may need some other support. I get that, but for those of you so called, please join one of the below zooms.
